Hier staat haar bekendste nummer op, nl. Nobody knows you when you're down and out. Opvallend is de goede geluidskwaliteit van de opnames; weinig geruis of gekraak. Veel jazzachtige bluesmuziek, met de nodige risqué nummers. Op nummers 15, 16 en 17 meen ik Lonnie Johnson op gitaar te horen. Hij toerde met Bessie in 1929. Deze verzameling nummers stammen uit 1928, 1929, 1930 en 1931.
