Eindelijk weer een release van Söderqvist. Er staat ook een cd op stapel te staan van de film Effi.
Wat de componist te zeggen had over de score:
“One of the things I try to do with every new picture is to find a unique sound, a new universe, which will suit the story and give it a musical personality. For Let the Right One In, I discovered an instrument called the bass waterphone, which I recorded endless samples of and then tweaked and worked into the fabric of the score. This defined the musical voice of this particular film.''

Er zaten een aantal herkenbare Se7en momenten in en andere vleugjes van (voor mij) herkenbaar werk, wat niet wegneemt dat het een geweldige soundtrack is.

Ik herkende er vooral veel van de componist zelf in. Ongelooflijke combinatie van horror en drama, met sublieme thema's. Ook het gebruik van een bass waterphone en de welbekende ambient elektronische middelen dragen enorm bij aan de sfeer en klinken bovendien verfrissend. Natuurlijk een aanrader voor iedereen die de film of componist goed vindt.
