Destijds waren de reclames van 501 een garantie voor het opnieuw uitbrengen van oude hits, die weer grote hits werden. Niet alle nummers van deze verzamelaar, maar o.a. The Joker/Mannish Boy/I Heard it Through the Grapevine/Wonderful World/Stand by Me/Should i Stay Should i Go kregen hierdoor een tweede leven. Het was prima marketing wat dat betreft en bracht ook zijn 15 minuten van beroemdheid voor toyboy Nick Kamen. De verzameling die hier bijeen gebracht is, mag er zijn en buiten de al genoemde nummers staat er nog voldoende andere klassiekers op. Leuk voor in de auto, want een spijkerbroek van 501 heb ik niet.
