infra, Max's new record on FatCat will be released on July 22nd. Based on his collaboration with Wayne Macgregor and Julian Opie for The Royal Ballet last year, the record expands on and develops the original material, reconfiguring it as an immersive listening experience in it's own right.
The Brighton Festival this year features the fifth collaboration between Max and renowned performance company Dreamthinkspeak. Following on from their acclaimed previous work, this new version of Chekov's late masterpiece "The Cherry Orchard" plays until May 23.
memoryhouse is now available once more on CD and 180gm vinyl on FatCat. Other current releases include 180gm vinyl versions of The Blue Notebooks, Songs From Before as well as 24 Postcards In Full Colour.
Waltz with Bashir is now available on DVD. Max was named European Composer 2008 at The European Film awards for his score, and was nominated for the Prix France Musique.
Max's recently completed film scores include Benedek Fliegauf's "Womb", Alex Gibney's "My trip to Al Qaeda", David Mackenzie's "The Last Word" and Gilles Paquet-Brenner's "Sarah's Key". Max's music can also be heard in Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island".
