Soul in the Midnight Hour, zegt de subtitel: en het is inderdaad prima te draaien rond dat tijdstip. Met deze cd waarderen de gasten de muziek vanzelf. Het album staat vol met, met name, Southern Soul. Er staan een flink aantal grote hits en artiesten op, maar ook een paar hele mooie gems. Voorbeelden daarvan zijn Release Me van Esther Philips, Slip Away van Clarence Carter en See Saw van Don Covay. Verder ook nog de prachtstemmen van Wilson Picket en Aretha Franklin en nog veel meer moois. Prima Midnight Hour verzamelaar.
