Een omvangrijke box: 13 cd's en 6 dvd's: alle studio albums aangevuld met bonustracks, de live albums met extra tracks en 4 albums met als titel ‘Rufus Rarities’, ‘Rufus at the Movies’, ‘Friends & Family’ en ‘Original Demos’.
Daarbij de dvd's ‘Live at Fillmore’, ‘Rufus Does Judy at the London Palladium’, ‘Milwaukee at Last!!!’, ‘Release The Stars’ album commentary en live performance en twee zg. feature-length documentaries, ‘All I Want’ and ‘Prima Donna: The Making of An Opera’.

Kost je zo'n 200 euro maar dan ben je wel in 1 klap heel erg compleet zullen we maar zeggen.
Ik ken zo'n beetje alles al wel maar is wel in de loop der jaren bij elkaar gespaard en dat zou met deze aanschaf wel gelijk goed zitten. Maar ik ben gekke Henkie niet. Misschien als de prijs ooit zakt alhoewel dat te betwijfelen valt omdat ik meen dat het geen herdruk zal krijgen.

Ik wacht wel op zijn nieuwe album dat in de maak is en dat volgens mij meer pop en dance invloeden gaat krijgen. Het zal mij benieuwen.

Inmiddels kun je dit hier en daar al wat goedkoper te pakken krijgen (100 euro is al te vinden: nog steeds veel geld maar het scheelt al aardig wat).

Voor € 70 een in rood fluweel vepakte overdosis aangeschaft. Why o why did I take this red pill? Waarom wil ik nu opeens een strak zittende lederhöse? Kitschviolen bij het ontbijt? Een geile zus met lange benen? Het was al niet zo best met me, maar na dit 19 schijfjes tellende muzikale universum komt het nooit meer goed. Gelukkig.
