De muziek van Thomas Newman is zoals gewoonlijk weer fantastisch, maar komt wat te weinig voor in de film. Vandaar alleen 'maar' 3,5 sterren. De grote troef van de muziek in de film is natuurlijk de uitstekende keuze van klassieke muziek door Milos Forman. 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa' geeft je de rillingen en de beelden van het einde van de film komen meteen terug naar boven.
