Fijn vervolg op deel 1 met wederom geweldige artiesten als Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Antony en Marc Almond niet geheel toevallig behorend tot mijn grootste favoriete artiesten.
Ik ben dus weer erg benieuwd.

Net het duet van Michael Stipe met Courtney Love gehoord... Wat een geweldige stem heeft die Stipe toch!

Blij dat er af en toe weer wat nieuw werk van hem uitkomt.

Net als het vorige album zwalken de artiesten er flink op los: dronkemansballades en ruigheid volop.
Niet alles is even geslaagd maar de meerderheid is goed genietbaar. Leuke samenwerkingen ook.

He he... Het was even wachten (sinds 2006) maar daar is dan eindelijk deel 2! Verrassing: duet Tom Waits met Keith Richards!!! Leuk: Johnny Depp en Patti Smith (hoewel Depp volgens flinke geruchten op deel 1 ook al mee deed).

Gelukkig ook weer Nick Cave, net zoals in 1. Grootste verrassing: Todd Rundgren en Zappa (vast een al bestaand nummer).

Het zit dichter tegen de traditionele uitvoeringen aan dan het soms wel erg experimentele eerste deel, maar er blijft genoeg ruimte over voor experimentjes.

Kortom: ik ben een tevreden mens.
