Dit liedje gaat over Dave Davies (flittering from shop to shop just like a butterfly) die verslaafd was na moderne, gekke en nieuwe kleding en er nog is. Dave Davies is geen homo maar wel een beetje Bi. Dedicated Follower of Fashion is ook een perfekte beschrijving van het swinging London of the 60, beautiful peoples, Carneby Street, Kings Road enz.. "See my friends", staat niet op deze plaat, is wel een nummer over homoseksualiteit.. "Friends" was in de jaare 60 een slang woord voor homo.
