Dit is deel II uit de serie Anthems Hip Hop, een serie die zeker de moeite waard is. Er wordt ook op dit volume een mooi overzicht gegeven van de verschillende artiesten en stromingen binnen de hiphop. Overall is het net wat minder dan deel I.
Een echt old skool begin, met jawel Rapper's Delight & the Message. Goede herinneringen hieraan. De beste nummers staan ook op het tweede deel op CD 2. The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, ATCQ, Common & the Roots. Wat een overdosis aan lekkere nummers! Op CD 3 vind je mindere en betere tracks. Van die laatste bijvoorbeeld Outkast, De La Soul & Pete Rock. Met een goede songselectie van deze 56 nummers heb je toch heel wat moois in handen.
