Ten opzichte van Ultima Thulée ontwikkelt Blut Aus Nord zich vooral op het productionele vlak. Compositorisch en sfeermatig gezien vind ik Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Age een wat vlak en bij vlagen zelfs saai album. Het is te goed om van de hand te doen, maar het wordt zwaar overklast door andere albums uit de discografie. ik heb ook helemaal geen zin om er een langer, beschouwend stuk over te tikken. Dus doe ik dat ook niet.
