Dit is geen eenvoudig album en zeker niet geschikt om Joan Baez als muziekant te leren kennen. De ondertitel van dit album is A Journey Through Our Time en dt had wellicht een betere hoofdtitel gweest. Baez spreekt en zingt hier teksten/gedichten o.a. Frederico Garcia Lorca, Walt Withman, James Joyce. Experimenteel orkestgeluid ondersteund het geheel. Ik vind het geen gelukkige combinatie. Nergens boeit het album, op misschien All the Pretty Little Horses na. Bovendien als ik literatuur tot mij wil nemen lees ik het liever zelf dan dat ik het voorgezegd krijg, hoe mooi het werk ook is.
