Ams-Uno is buggin', and I mean that in a good way. The Day Of Devotion (Labeless Illtelligence) is an album that should be heard by those who thought the fear in hip-hop had disappeared. I'm talking about the kind of music that you would play, and if someone heard it they would report you to the cops. Ams-Uno is that kind of MC with that kind of threatening voice, and the lyrics that you'll take to heart.

The album is a nice mixture of flows and styles, on one end he can be ruthless and threatening ("Woe To Dem"), other times it's a celebration of youth ("Uno Potato"). What holds up is the fact that it is consistent with what Ams-Uno is about, someone who knows his role as a rapper and someone fulfilling the demands of an MC. Imagine El-P and early Fat Joe and you have someone who will definitely help bring attention to the hip-hop scene in Rhode Island. Oh yeah, Rhode Island, you didn't know? Check it.
