Vreemde compilatie, die de begintijd van Too $hort, de drie tapes vóór Born to Mack, compleet overslaat (want niet verschenen op het label Jive, ongetwijfeld). Bovendien staat er een behoorlijk aantal nummers van na het jaar 2000 op, maar geen enkel nummer van het platinumalbum Gettin' It, zelfs het titelnummer (een aardige hit in de VS) en het geinige nummer Buy You Some niet. Dit is niet The Essential.
Wel staat dit op chronologische volgorde, als je de laatste twee tracks van de verzamelaar ‘Nationwide: Independence Day: The Compilation’ van $hort Records uit 1998 even vergeet.
