Zeer innemend en begenadigd bespeler van cornet en trompet. Maar vooral één van de grote dirigenten en leermeesters in de freejazz, al zou hij dat zelf weglachen. Die man heeft zoveel talent ontdekt en begeleid naar artistieke erkenning! Als fluisterende sideman vaak onopgemerkt door zijn bescheidenheid. Hij is gister helaas te jong overleden en dat is een groot verlies.

Deze box is een waardige nalatenschap. Maar zijn oeuvre is vele malen groter dan vermeld op deze site.
