Sfeervolle, droevige en tegelijk ook wel warme muziek (net zoals de film een combinatie is van groot drama en af en toe een lichte toets). Veel kerkkoren, veel gevoelige strijkers - en toch een wel eigen toon, de muziek is heel snel te herkennen (als afkomstig van deze film). Knap werk van Barber.
