'Hafvet (The Sea) is the third release by Thet Liturgiske Owäsendet, a duo comprising of Linus Schrab and Johan Fotmeijer from Arlöv, Sweden. They utilise modular synth, processed electric guitar and field recordings to create meticulously layered and hypnotic soundscapes.
Over four, long-form pieces, Hafvet is a slow burning, introspective showcase. Sinuous, textured drones interact with slow moving variations, repeated motifs and subdued harmonies to create an album of intriguing depth and beauty.'

Spot-on, al ben ik zelf niet helemaal onder de indruk van deze synth-ambient vs. field recordings combinatie. Het meer op harde drones gerichte Nordatlanten vind ik dan wel weer erg mooi met een soort van Maborosi no Hikari (spooklicht)sfeer.
