De meest volledige compilatie van Thin Lizzy (de Collected-reeks is subliem!), Ierse bluesrockband die vooral in de jaren '70 actief was. Vooral bekend van de hit en traditional Whiskey in the Jar maar het hele album staat op een hoog peil vooral dankzij het opwindende en excellente gitaarwerk.

Ja, dit is gewoon onverslaanbaar. Alweer een parel uit de Collected-reeks!
Ik vind ook het zo verguisde vroege werk van de eerste twee albums zeer genietbaar en past helemaal in het complete plaatje. Cruising In The Lizzymobile is overigens een moeilijk verkrijgbaar b-kantje.
Ik vind het ook tof dat Phil Lynott’s soloplaten aan bod komen, geheel in volgorde met de toen verschenen Lizzy-platen uit de vroege jaren ‘80. Gary Moore’s Platinum Collection is hier overigens een mooie aanvulling op.
Na deze fantastische set al 1,5 jaar in huis te hebben ga ik achter de originele cd’s aan! Mission Accomplished!
