En ik maar denken dat ik niet van jazz hou. Zoals zo vaak, blijkt ook hier het cliché waar te zijn: er bestaan maar twee soorten muziek.

Inmiddels op MP3 gezet, en in mn mapje Jazz toegevoegd.
Als ik dan vervolgens de gehele map op shuffle mode afspeel komen er heel vaak nummers van deze voorbij, en dit is toch wel een hele bijzondere uitgave van Verve.
Verschillende takes van nummers, tussendoor wat gebrabbel in de studio, Billie die wat aant dollen is met kinderen in de studio. Prachtig!!

Deze box van mijn broer stond, nooit beluisterd, te beschimmelen in zijn tuinhuisje.10 schijven, remastered. Neem maar mee, zei hij. Ik hapte naar adem. Een magistraal monument ter nagedachtenis van Lady Bird. Ik heb er een paar maanden over gedaan om alles gedoseerd in te nemen. Wat een vrouw, wat een leven!
