deze verzamelaar verscheen n.a.v. het 25-jarig bestaan van de groep.
de 19 nummers zijn als volgt samengesteld:
1 & 17 van het album "In The Round" (1986)
2 & 5 van "So Early In The Spring" (1989)
3 & 7 van hun come-back album "Open The Door" (1985)
4 & 18 van "Think Of Tomorrow" (1991)
6 van het Bert Jansch album "Sketches" (1990)
8 & 16 previously unreleased versions (1990)
9,10,12 & 14 live versions van het album "Derroll Adams 65th Birthday Concert" (1990)
11,13 & 15 previously unreleased live versions D. Adams 65th Birthday Concert (1990)
19 van het album "Peter Kirtley" (1992) die enige jaren lid van de band was
de groep stond bekend om hun knappe fusie van folk, blues, jazz en barok muziek, maar werd ook wel folkrock met jazz invloeden genoemd.
mijn (persoonlijke) voorkeur gaat naar de meer traditionele folk songs, die redelijk vertegenwoordigd zijn met o.a. 2) "Reynardine", 10) "Bonny Portmore", 12) "Willie O' Winsbury" en de bloedstollend mooie, niet eerder uitgebrachte nummers 11) "The Trees They Grow So High" en 13) "Sally Free and Easy" met afwisselende lead vocalen van Bert Jansch en Jacqui McShee ofwel voorzien van hun prachtige, meerstemmige zang.

A single CD could never be enough to present a full picture of Pentangle, whatever the era, but as the first compilation of the band's work from the 1980's and beyond, with a glimpse of the old magic from John, Bert, Jacqui and Danny, on stage together in the recent past, it should be a welcome reminder for some (and a timely surprise for others!), that here lies a wealth of treasures, and with the Pentangle at least, 25 years is never enough!
