Ik hou niet echt van ballads, maar wat ik wel kan waarderen zijn sommige soul ballads. Met name the Southern Soul op z'n hoogtepunt (1960-1975) leverde heel wat fraais op. Dat vind je hier niet terug, maar desondanks staan hier verdraaid veel aardige tot hele fraaie (met name) soulballads op. Ze komen uit de jaren '70 en '80 en een aantal hoogtepunten voor mij zijn: EW&F, Sergio Mendes, Al Green, Ray Goodman & Brown, Rose Royce, Hi Gloss, the Brothers Johnson & Central Line. Zeker de moeite waard deze - ook afwisselende - verzamelaar.
