Zo, tijd voor de Bright Eyes-KO! Ik heb echt geen idee of daar enig animo voor is, dus we zullen zien. Ik heb voor de selecties van vrijwel alle albums wel wat afgehaald (kijkend naar de statistieken), ook de solo-albums van Conor Oberst en nog wat onbekendere dingen van EP'tjes en wat losse singles.

De eerste ronde spelen we met drie nummers tegelijk en we stemmen juist nummers weg. Stemmen op het minste nummer van de drie dus. Dit is de loting van de eerste ronde:

Eerste is al vrij moeilijk..

Hoewel twijfel tussen Gold Mine Gutted en June on the West Coast er wel was. June on the West Coast is 't beste van Letting Off the Happiness, dus dan toch Gold Mine Gutted als minste track.. At the Bottom of Everything vind ik de beste van de drie. Wel wat voorspelbaar.

Een schitterende KO. Ik zal in ieder geval een vaste stemmer zijn. Van mijn favorieten mis ik alleen Beginner's Mind en Old Soul Song. De volgende battle is trouwens onmogelijk met mijn 2 favoriete nummers van Bright Eyes en nog een heerlijk lang en ruw nummer.

Hmm, Old Soul Song moet er eigenlijk wel tussen. Bij het album heeft ie niet zoveel voorkeursstemmen, maar ik besef nu dat dat komt door het aanpassen van de titel, waarbij er stemmen verloren zijn gegaan. Eerst stond het stuk tussen haakjes er namelijk ook bij. Ik heb Smoke Without Fire vervangen door Old Soul Song.

Gewoon een zeventiende battle doen met een tiebreak op het einde, en dan meteen Big Picture meenemen.

Beetje saai om meteen het meest experimentele nummer eruit te stemmen, maar die andere twee zijn wel duidelijk beter.
