Deze soundtrack van de fenomenale BBC-serie Planet Earth, verspreid over twee albums, kan ook best beluisterd worden zonder de begeleidende beelden, al werkt de muziek natuurlijk beter binnen de context van de serie. De score van George Fenton blijft in ieder geval erg mooi, van klein en speels tot groots en majestueus. Feitelijk is de baanbrekende serie tot nu toe niet overtroffen, net zo min als deze score.
