Mandibulbe - Praxis (2010)

MANDIBULBE is a French instrumental Progressive heavy-metal band, created in 2008 by Guillaume FENOY (Guitar & compositions), the mastermind of 4/3 DE TRIO. He naturally called his colleague Romain GAYRAL (Bass), to perform alongside Sébastien TOUZEAU (Drums) and Sofiène YAHIAOUI (Guitar). The concept behind "Praxis" (Musea Parallèle, 2010) was to create a music to be listened on different levels. Superimposed cells, everchanging pulses, harmonies and melodies alternating between common sense and research for tension, thanks to the use of dissonance and the compilation of sonic bits, etc. Influenced by bands such as KING CRIMSON, GENTLE GIANT, DEEP PURPLE, THE MARS VOLTA, TOOL or GOJIRA, MANDIBULBE's music clearly sounds up-to-date, using current sounds, power and writing. It's also deeply rooted in the Seventies, by its construction, its nuances and its instrumental side. Not to be missed !
