BELGRADE (AFP) — Goran Bregovic, one of the most famous musicians in the Balkans, suffered serious spinal injuries Thursday when he fell from a tree at his Belgrade home, Tanjug news agency reported.
The 58-year-old composer fell four metres (12 feet) from a cherry tree in the garden of his home in Senjak, a wealthy suburb of the Serbian capital, according to Tanjug.
Bregovic was admitted to Belgrade's emergency hospital with a broken vertebrae, said doctor Vladimir Djukic, who added that his condition was "stable without neurological complications."

Zijn toestand is wel stabiel. Dat zou dan volgens mij moeten betekenen dat ie niet volledig verlamd is.
