10-09-09 MySpace Green Concorde:
SILENCE HAS CUT THROUGH THE AIR
We, Carsten, Morten, Peter and Simon, have decided to silence the engine of the Green Concorde and put an end to the journey we have shared with friends, families and fans since the first take off back in 2003.
We have enjoyed the ride - and we are very grateful for having had the opportunity to share our music with good people in cities like Montauban, Utrecht, Berlin, Viborg and Trondheim.
Some flash backs seems in order:
We’ll remember the four British lads of Arctic Monkeys, who invited us out for a beer when we had supported them in Store Vega.
We’ll remember the five Dutch brothers, who invited us and a big bunch of their friends to the fabulous Broarmoats Festival arranged in the backyard of their parent’s house.
We’ll remember the twelve Danish kids, who invited us, themselves and the rest of a poorly filled Nygadehuset in Aabenraa to a party of another dimension.
We’ll remember them. And we’ll remember amazing bands like Spleen United, Tiger Tunes, Livaventura, 206 and We vs Death.
We’ll remember hard working enthusiasts like Christian and Jan from Pop-U-Loud, Jan from Cantona Entertainment, Lars Lyd, Q, Ole Gundahl, Jint and Jean-Pierre from Rockomondo.
And we’ll remember the rest of you - you who showed up and joined our trip for a day, for a night or for the remainder of the ride.
Despite the ‘obituarian’ feel of this goodbye, neither life nor love is lost. The four of us will continue to put up posters of new projects in this hangar of our abandoned band. So should you feel like keeping in touch with the spirit of the Concorde, then don’t become a stranger to this message board.
First hint is: Go down the corridor, to the exit, through the gates and out into the safe haven of No Blood In Bones, Mortens inspiring new project; watch out for Carsten and his upcoming The Vincent White Shadow; and check in on Sort for a listen to Peters minimalistic tunes. We promise, it’ll all be worth your while!
