Nog niks officieels, maar dit zegt genoeg lijkt me

Op de site zag ik net dat de eerste 5 shows van hun Europese tour worden verplaatst, dus ook het concert in Den Haag gaat niet door zaterdag:

Paris, Den Haag, Brussels, Copenhagen and Stockholm to be rescheduled as soon as possible

Following the postponement of the band’s ALL YOU NEED IS NOW UK arena dates, that were scheduled to start three weeks ago (on May 18), due to lead singer Simon Le Bon’s vocal problems, the band are now having to reschedule the first five dates on their upcoming European tour, slated to kick off in Paris this weekend (June 10). Le Bon has been advised by his medical team that he needs to continue to rest his voice in order to fully rehabilitate his vocal range and avoid further damage.

The band members are devastated to be losing additional shows and are keen to get the dates rescheduled as soon as possible. Fans should hold on to their tickets, which will be valid for the new dates.

Doctors are working on a treatment plan for Le Bon that will hopefully see the group resume shows in Helsinki on Saturday June 18.

The dates being rescheduled are as follows:

Brussels Forest National June 12
Copenhagen Tivoli Gardens June 14
Stockholm Cirkus June 16

Bass player, John Taylor, said this morning “You have no idea how disappointed we all are at the news that we won’t be playing this weekend. We have been holding on to that hope while we waited to hear from the doctors. We know what this means to the fans, so many of whom are traveling tremendous distances to see us. It’s hardest on Simon who is doing everything he can in terms of a recovery plan. We feel utterly powerless over the situation, as all we can do is wait for his injury to mend. Our hope is to start up again in Helsinki.”

Simon twittert dat er duidelijk meer aan de hand is, dan wat de onderzoeken nu uitwijzen... Kan nog wel eens lang gaan duren...

Zo te zien is het nog steeds Kyocera stadion, op de site van The Hague Jazz heb ik dit gelezen:

Het concert van Duran Duran dat a.s. zaterdag 11 juni zou plaatsvinden in het Kyocera Stadion Den Haag zal worden verplaatst naar september/oktober 2011. Leadzanger Simon Le Bon kampt nog steeds met stemproblemen.

Eerder al heeft Duran Duran de UK tour uit moeten stellen en was er goede hoop op het doorgaan van de show in Den Haag. Het medische team van leadzanger Simon Le Bon heeft echter geadviseerd om langer rust te nemen voor volledig herstel en om grotere schade te voorkomen. De eerste 5 shows in Europa, waaronder dus ook Den Haag, zijn daarom uitgesteld. De groep hoopt de tour weer op te pakken vanaf 18 juni.

De gekochte tickets blijven gewoon geldig voor de nog te plannen datum in september/oktober 2011. Fans die in die periode niet in de gelegenheid zijn om het concert bij te wonen kunnen via de website van See Tickets een restitutie formulier downloaden.

Zodra er meer informatie bekend is over de nieuwe datum wordt dat bekend gemaakt op deze website.

Ik ben in september drie weken met vakantie, dus ik hoop dat dat past, anders gaan we maar eens op zoek naar dat restitutie formulier.

Heb een aantal berichten van de albumpagina hierheen verplaatst, aangezien het daar ook over het concert ging. Het bericht van sebas valt nu een beetje uit de toon, maar het was een reactie op een bericht dat hier alweer op de vorige pagina staat.

De afgelastingen lopen inmiddels door t/m 23 juni.

Nieuwe datum voor Den Haag is 2 september, een vrijdag dus. Locatie ongewijzigd.

Dat had ik van de week al gelezen op hun site, in de tijd dat Simon stemproblemen hebben ze aan nieuwe muziek gewerkt wat ze exclusief doen voor de aankomende concerten. Aldus bassist John Taylor.

Rare is wel dat de officiële verkoper netjes meld dat de show is uitgesteld, maar een mail met de nieuwe datum sturen is blijkbaar teveel moeite.

DURAN DURAN FORCED TO RESCHEDULE EUROPEAN SUMMER TOUR DUE TO SINGER SIMON LE BON’S VOCAL PROBLEMS

British rock band, Duran Duran have today announced that they are being forced to cancel their upcoming European summer tour, that was due to start on Thursday 14 July in Dublin, Ireland and run through mid September, due to lead singer Simon Le Bon’s ongoing vocal problems. Doctor’s believe that Le Bon damaged the muscles controlling his vocal chords during a show in Cannes in early May of this year, causing him to temporarily lose the top part of his range. With continued physiotherapy and a rigorous treatment plan, the singer’s medical team are certain that he will return to full health in the near future, but as the exact timing of this cannot be predicted, they are recommending moving the European dates so as to avoid disappointing fans at the last minute.

The band members are devastated at the news that the shows will not go ahead as planned and are keen to try to reschedule as many dates as possible for later in the year or early 2012. While they wait for Simon’s full recovery, they are working together in the studio, rehearsing, to assist with the rehabilitation process.

The postponement of the ‘All You Need Is Now World Tour’, in support of the band’s thirteen studio album, which was scheduled to kick off in the UK in May, marks only the second time in the band’s 30 year career that they have had to move a number of shows for any medical reason. Today’s announcement has been a particularly hard one to make, as Simon has improved dramatically since the incident in France a few weeks ago, and he feels that he’ll be back at 100% capacity shortly. What the band members do not want to continue doing, however, is moving or canceling shows at the last moment as they recognize how difficult this is for both their fans and the teams promoting the dates. With this in mind, they have agreed to move the entire European summer run and will not be putting anything back in the calendar until Le Bon is in full voice.

The full run of upcoming European concerts is listed below. The hope is to reschedule as many of these as possible, so fans should hold on to their tickets that will be valid for the new dates. Speaking from the UK today, where all of the band members met to discuss the fate of the tour, singer Simon Le Bon said “This has been an extremely difficult decision to make as the injury I seem to have sustained is an internal one and so no-one can tell me exactly how long it’s going to take to mend completely. Every day I can see an improvement and each week I recover a part of my upper range. What the doctor’s don’t want me to do, however, is risk any further damage, so they are saying I need to take some more time away from shows to get back to full strength. If we knew exactly when that might be, we wouldn’t have to let this entire run of dates go, but what we feel we can’t keep doing is moving shows piecemeal – as it’s just not fair on the fans. I am lucky that this has never happened to me before, in thirty years, and that the injury, whilst extremely frustrating is nothing more serious. I am doing everything I can to work through this and get back on track as soon as possible. We have an incredible production we’ve been working on for this tour – and the new songs are sounding great. This couldn’t have come at a worse time – but I am trying to be philosophical about my recovery as there’s nothing else I can do.”

Wat een ellende allemaal.
Slordig dat je verder van de kaartverkoop niks hoort - zoals lennon al opmerkt.

En nu.. weer niks van See tickets.... geld is binnen, klant telt niet meer blijkbaar.

Heb maar eens getracht een klacht te schrijven, kijken of er uberhaupt wordt gereageerd

Vandaag dan toch een mail, maar niet dat je je geld terug kan krijgen - je wordt op de hoogte gehouden.... Daar ga ik toch niet op wachten.

Bij verplaatsen kan je altijd je kaart terug geven, je bent alleen je service kosten kwijt

En de tour gaat weer verder... Amerika is aan de beurt in de herfst...

Ze beginnen volgens mij 23-09, dus 02-09 is nog steeds beschikbaar.. waarom wachten tot het voorjaar? Gewoon door laten gaan die verschoven show, zeg ik

Kreeg vanmorgen een mail van SeeTickets dat het ergens in januari 2012 wordt.
Zit er een dak op dat stadion?

^vraag me ook af hoe ze dat gaan doen....

We've had a few inquiries asking when the rescheduled European dates are going to be announced, and wanted you to know we're working hard with the promoters to find new venues and the best routing possible. Although the US tour has only just been announced, it has actually been in the planning for months. Finding venues is something that takes some time (as they are booked so far in advance), but we are fairly far along with the European rescheduling and that we hope to have news shortly!

Nog steeds geen nieuws over een Nederlandse concert datum.
De Belgische staat al wel vast (28 januari).

Ik wil en weekje met vakantie (wintersport/zon) en paar daagjes naar het IFFR in januari/februari, maar wil wel plannen kunnen maken én nog naar dit concert.

^nee geen idee, maar dat het rond eind januari zal komen te liggen lijkt wel steeds duidelijker! Ook de Duitse data deden dat al vermoeden!

Voor mij is nog steeds de hamvraag: waar gaat het gebeuren?

Heb dit geschreven: (misschien helpt het als meerdere mensen mailen? Uiteraard niet dit onderstaande in zijn gehaal kopieren en sturen....

Ik heb al maanden de tickets voor Duran Duran in huis, en ik zie dat allerlei landen inmiddels nieuwe data toegewezen krijgen behalve Nederland. Nu is mij ter ore gekomen dat the Hague jazz failliet is, en dat er dus van daaruit niks wordt ondernomen?
Ik wil graag weten wat ik kan verwachten als klant van See tickets? Ik heb al eens eerder geklaagd dat de informatie voorziening heel erg karig is, en pas daarna is er 1 keer een mail uitgegaan met de info over de uitgestelde show. Op jullie site dtaat zelfs nog dat het naar sept/okt 2011 wordt verplaatst! Hoe is dat mogelijk? Er is wel een mail uitgegaan dat het is uitgesteld tot 2012?
Nu zijn de geruchten dus wat zorgwekkender, want misschien gebeurd er helemaal niks?
Ik neem aan dat we dan ons geld via See tickets terug krijgen, want de tickets zijn immers bij jullie gekocht.
Uiteraard hoop ik dat er gewoon een show aan zit te komen, en dat dit allemaal niet nodig is, maar ik wel als betalende klant van See tickets graag weten waar ik aan toe ben.

Ik had gisteren toevallig al See Tickets gemaild met een vraag of er nieuws was. En zo nee ik de tranasctie wil annuleren. Je moet wel je transactiecode of coupon code of ziets bij de hand hebben.
