Here are some quick KissFAQ write-ups on some of the tracks mentioned:

"Just Can't Wait" was originally released as an instrumental demo on "Rockology" and had been written around 1987. Lyrics had never been written, so on this new version Bruce and Eric's original guitars and drums are augmented by lyrics written by Nick Clemente in 2002 and sung by Ted Poley. If you don't immediately spot the KISS connection here Ted had been the lead singer of one of the opening acts on Kiss' 1990, and Eric Carr's final, tour. According to Bruce, "we felt like we had a good song, just didn’t really have any lyrics or melody firmed up. Made sense to just record it anyway... add that later." Perhaps Gene or Paul could have helped out with the lyrics at the time. Regardless, the song is now brought to a more complete presentation. This was one of the tracks mentioned for inclusion back in 2006 when news of a then possible new Eric Carr EP surfaced.

"No One's Messin' With You" is an early demo of "Little Caesar," that become Eric's proper KISS album vocal on "Hot In The Shade" (1989). The final version was also a song that Eric got to perform live a couple of times early in 1990, through the final dress-rehearsal for the start of the "Hot In The Shade" tour in May. According to Bruce, "new songs from the latest album being pushed is always tricky. Many of the fans don’t know it, and the reaction is not strong, so guess what? We drop it from the set. Not always the right decision but you know not my choice." An earlier of the song titled "Ain't That Peculiar" was included on the 2001 KISS box set, but with this new version fans can get an idea of the early original lyrical idea Eric was pursuing, along with a lyrical and vocal melody differences. Regardless of how the song evolved it took a major contribution from credited co-writer Adam Mitchell during the process. Like the box demo this track is purely Eric and Bruce musically, though it didn't reach the stage where guitar leads were applied. This recording was discovered on one of Eric's DAT tapes.

"Elephant Man" is one of the last songs that Eric Carr wrote. It seems lyrically dark and influenced by the issues that he was facing at the time: "Just like the elephant man / Nothing's changed inside / People don't seem the same / They smile with fear in their eyes // ... Banished from the kingdom / By the evil king / And his not so secret queen / He sees the truth in the mirror / And feels the strength in his heart / Friends are there to hold him up / But only he can stop his fall / Just like the elephant man." The song was never demoed by Eric, so fans are given an opportunity to hear an interpretation with the song being arranged by Nick Clemente and Bob Gilmartin in 2006. The "mood is set with a hypnotic slide-guitar solo, powerful vocals, and a heavy flowing drum beat" (ericcarr.com). The recording features Bob on vocals, Kee Marcello (ex-Europe) on guitars, and New York musical alumni AJ Pero on drums. Making the song more touching are backing vocals by Eric's sister, Maria, and niece Sara-Jean.

One of the great lost tracks, few fans have been privileged to have heard the nearly completed "Dial L For Love;" a song that dates from the "Crazy Nights" era that Eric was writing with Adam Mitchell. Performing on the track with Eric is Bruce on guitar. While Eric had intended to record the vocals for the song himself, it was never completed leaving this instrumental as a "what could have been." It was one of those song ideas that Bruce "always wondered why it wasn’t on a KISS record." Well, now it's on an Eric Carr album!

ZO2 perform a storming cover of "All Hell's Breakin' Loose," from KISS' "Lick It Up" album (1983). This song was primarily written by Eric so it's an obvious candidate to represent his KISStory. According to Joey, "We really wanted to do a song that Eric had a big hand in writing. I've always loved that song so we thought it was a perfect fit. When we recorded it we wanted to try to capture the same vibe as the original. The groove on that song is phenomenal!" The "driving vocals by Paulie Z, powerful drums and bass tracks, are the core of this KISS metal classic. Z02 has nailed it!" (ericcarr.com).

"The Troubles Inside" is an Eric Carr / Mitch Weissman demo dating from around 1984. Mitch had been associated with the band from 1978 when he made a guest appearance on Gene Simmons' solo album. Mitch, as a member of the Beatlemania tribute, was chosen as an acceptable guest when Gene was unable to secure actual former members of the Beatles! The track is a rough work-in-progress that features Mitch on bass, guitar, and vocals; and Eric programming the drums, singing background, and playing guitar. The song was recorded at Gene Simmons' house with Mitch sitting in a closet to record the vocal!
