Opgezwolle zou ik zeker luisteren, valt me vaak op hoe de mannen voor hun rijmschema's en raps de inspiratie bij MF Doom haalden. Er valt veel ontdekken in hun raps. Opvallend dat die andere van ze, Vloeistof, uit de Top 250 is gevallen. Die stond jaren geleden nog vrij hoog geloof ik.

Dat je als progofoob een (bescheiden) deel van de Top 250 met gerust hart links laat liggen, kan ik me levendig indenken, maar om hier bij drie al zo lang meegaande MuMe-prominenten zelfs een breed gedragen klassieker als Crime of the Century drie keer op rij langs te zien komen, vind ik toch wel kras.

Enfin, ik postte hier zelf een half jaar geleden nog. Heb er sindsdien toch een paar bij beluisterd:en er staan er nog wat voor de korte tot middellange termijn op de luisterlijst. De lijst schrijdt ook gewoon voort. Op dit moment 36 over:

Supertramp is mij natuurlijk wel bekend, van de hits op de radio. Die vind ik wisselend van kwaliteit, ik zie dat op Crime of the Century zowel School (dat me prima smaakt) als Dreamer (komt in de buurt van een haat-plaat) staat. Ik denk dat ik toch oversla.

Ik vind beide wel aardig, maar heb nooit interesse gehad om meer te luisteren.

Is een beetje flauw want Cas heeft zelf ook genoeg klassiekers in zijn lijst staan.

Daarna wordt het te veel, maar kort gezegd, het meeste zal ik wel nog niet geluisterd hebben. Ik weet ook niet of daar echt veel verandering in zal komen, gezien ik toch 1. het gevoel heb dat er nog te veel ontdekken te valt binnen de genres waar ik nu liefhebber van heb en 2. het gevoel heb dat 90% uit die lijst gewoon - ja - niet goed is, en/of me niet ligt.

3 jaar geleden miste ik er nog 26, dat is nu gestegen naar 29. Niet dat ik zelf stemmen heb verwijderd, de lijst is natuurlijk ietwat gewijzigd in de onderste regionen. Mijn omissie-lijstje valt (op een paar uitzonderingen na) het beste samen te vatten met jazz, metal, prog en "Pinkpop-rock":

Drie Iron Maiden-platen is anders ook geen sinecure

Netjes gezegd, te netjes eigenlijk voor die kutmuziek.

Ik heb ook eens gekeken. Ik kom op 136 onbeluisterde albums. Dat is meer dan de helft. Dat is wel veel, en er is natuurlijk ook regelmatig een reden waarom ik een album onbeluisterd heb gelaten. Radiohead bijvoorbeeld, dat is gewoon niet mijn band. Dus of ik daar zin in heb,... Hoewel het qua genre wel in mijn straatje zou kunnen liggen.

Er zit verder ook aardig wat hiphop en dance gerelateerde muziek tussen volgens mij. In ieder geval alle hiphop en dance albums in de top 250. Want dat ligt zo ver uit mijn comfortzone dat ik me daar echt niet aan ga wagen. Het moet wel leuk blijven.

Ik ben wel benieuwd naar albums van David Bowie (ik ken er geen een), Kate Bush, The Smiths en nog zo wat in die hoek. Ik ga eens kijken of ik dit kan afwerken de komende tijd. Ook wel weer leuk.

Dat was een bericht van 15 april 2022. Ik heb deze drie beluisterd en beoordeeld:

Radiohead viel me erg mee, omdat ik zeker geen Radiohead fan ben. Sigur Rós viel me niet mee. Het wordt hoog gewaardeerd, maar ik raak niet betoverd. Jammer, want ergens begrijp ik wel waarom anderen er wel mee uit de voeten kunnen.
Boxer vond ik gewoon saai, vlak, monotoon. Allemaal niet slecht, maar het doet me weinig.

Het schiet qua beluisteren nog niet echt op. En qua muziek valt het ook nog niet echt mee.
Maar The Smiths is de volgende ontdekking. Daar heb ik wel enige verwachting van!

En die heb ik vlak daarna beluisterd - niet tot mijn genoegen overigens. Heb ze dus allemaal geluisterd en beoordeeld en dat zal voorlopig ook wel zo blijven, vermoed ik

Je denkt steeds dat de rek er wel zo'n beetje uit is, maar sinds ruim twee jaar geleden is deze lijst toch weer van 36 naar 30 geslonken. Dat komt onder meer door beluistering van dit kwintet:Daar staan 5 nieuwkomers in de lijst tegenover die ik nog niet beluisterd heb:Vijf tegen vijf... maar daarnaast zijn er kennelijk nog zes wel bekende albums bijgekomen en mag ik de volgende zes wegstrepen wegens uit de lijst gevallen:Resultaat van al dat plussen en minnen:

Daar zit erg weinig kansrijks meer tussen. Maar vraag me dat over een paar jaar nog eens.

Ken ik wel losse liedjes van, maar nooit de plaat zelf opgezet.


Nooit geluisterd:


In de eerste lijst zitten wel platen die ik wat meer wil ontdekken, maar in de tweede lijst zit eigenlijk niets waar ik interesse naar heb. Eventueel dat ik de liveplaat van Rory Gallagher wel eens wil horen. Misschien dat de Bob Dylan en Neil Young platen me wel bevallen, maar beide vind ik geen goede zangers, en vind ik de muziek niet avontuurlijk.

Ik ga wel (als de zoekmachine het weer doet, wat gave platen de top250 in stemmen via mijn top10)

Het valt eigenlijk best mee wat ik (nog) niet heb beluisterd. Ik kom tot het volgende gezelschap: Tool, Metallica, Marillion, Madvillian, GZA, Rush, Guns N’ Roses, Faith No More, Megadeth, Alice in Chains, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Wu-Tang Clan, Queensryche, Opeth, Deftones, Soundgarden, Rammstein, Mastodan, en Athmosphere.
Het zijn namen waar ook op dit forum niet aan te ontkomen valt. Op podia wat ik ervan gezien heb(of via TV) , of een enkel nummer, is het nog best te pruimen, maar thuis heb ik er geen zin aan om zo’n album eens op te zetten. Het ligt me gewoon niet als ik het afzet waar ik wel graag naar luister.
