1. Opgezwolle - Rustug. Voor mij m'n favoriete opgezwolle track. Goede lyrics, laidback sfeer. Maatschappij kritiek, goede beats. Kers op de taart is dat deze track ook een zogenaamde outro heeft.

2. Gang Starr - Above the clouds. Deze track benadert vvoor me de basis van hiphop.
1. Inspectah Deck = Wu Tang Invloed
2. Sampling = dan geen 10 in een dozijn qouie van scarface maar iets redelijk onbekend.
3. DJ Premier en z'n scratch werk
4. Inhoudelijke teksten

3. Sppokrijders - klokkenluiders. Gejat van Talib Kweli en Hi-Tek maar dat kan de pret niet drukken. Puur jeugdsentiment voor een groep die te ondergewardeerd is gebleven.

4. Pete Rock - TROY Een van de beste jazzy hiphoptracks ooit gemaakt. CL Smooth en Pete Rock is bijna net zo'n geslaagd duo als Gang Starr.

5. Public Enemy - Fight the power. Heel mainstream maar wel een heel krachtige protestsong.

6. Organized Konfusion - Stress. Hypnotical gases is ook een aardige track maar Stress is net wat pakkender. Prima overgang van verschillende ritmes in de song.

7. JVC Force - Strong Island. Onbekend maar toch ook niet, vaak gesampled.

8. Black Moon - Slave Heeft hetzelfde wat Organized Konfusion ook heeft mooie overgang van ritme en beat.

Onmogelijke vraag. Op dit moment zou het California Love/Gin and Juice/The Militia/N.Y. State of Mind/Kick In The Door zijn, maar dat is morgen weer anders.

Gewoon ziek. Mooi gebruik van metaforen, sicke tekst en flow!

Gangstarr ft Inspectah Deck - Above the Clouds.
Heldere, pakkende, goedklinkende rap met dik dj-werk. Hulde!

Canibus - Poet Lauraette II
Ziek lange rap met ongehoord goed sampel/produceer werk. Een klasse rapper met een klasse producer die een klasse resultaat neerzetten. Prachtig!

A Tribe Called Quest - Excursions
Dit is wel het toppunt van het begrip 'flow'. Q-Tip komt hier gewoon zó ongelooflijk vet binnen. Neemt je meteen mee het hele album door. Heerlijk!

Big Daddy Kane - Set it Off
Nummer is gewoon ro relaxt. Goed geflowd en dik gerijmt. Klassenummer

El Da Sensei - Speakin'
Zie motivatie van Excursions. Dan wel geen intro maar wel héél sick geflowd

Ultra Magnetic MC's - Ease Back
Sicke intro, veel variatie, goede beat. Ook gewoon een supernummer

Mobb Deep - Shook Ones pt. 2
Misschien 1 van de beste beats die ik ooit gehoord heb. Ook weer heel goed overeen gerijmd en geflowd

Hier nu zit ik ook al aan 8 nummers. Het kiezen van een top 5 is onmogelijk. Door 5 nummers te noemen doe je 20 andere nummers tekort door ze niet te noemen.
