Heb TB2 ook wel eens gehoord, maar daar staat me niet veel meer van bij.

Incantations al eens geprobeerd? Mijns inziens een van zijn beste albums. TB2 is leuk, maar niet heel bijzonder. TB2003 vind ik juist een van de slechtste albums van Mike Oldfield.

Ik merk aan mezelf dat ik het album Incantations zo enorm ben gaan waarderen en zo regelmatig beluister, dat het stiekum wel eens mijn nr. 1 gaat worden.

Ommadawn is zijn beste album maar Tubular Bells heeft een streepje voor omwille van de impact. Het was pas het vierde album in mijn nog prille platencollectie. Eigenlijk gekocht op een beurs voor het goede doel met Moonlight Shadow in mijn achterhoofd. Ik was veertien. Die eerste luisterervaring was heel andere maar wel lekkere koek. Zijn werk na het zwaar onderschatte The Songs Of Distant Earth ken ik onvoldoende. Ik heb het wel beluisterd allemaal omdat ik de albums voor mezelf wilde ranken maar geen van de platen haalde (voorlopig) de top 10. Music Of The Spheres zat er nog het dichtste bij.
