De Beatles en de Stones tel ik niet mee, anders zou het té moeilijk worden (Jazz ook niet).

Voor het gemak vertienvoudig ik het gevraagde aantal even voor 1964. Ik probeer mijn historische nummerkennis wat op peil te brengen, want die blijft wat achter als je alleen voor de albums gaat merk ik. Vanaf 1964 ga ik dus maar eens proberen flink wat te luisteren en dan aan het eind met een lijstje te komen. Voor dit eerste jaar deze vijftig. Reijersen zal er blij mee zijn, want ik vind de soul vaak nog beter dan de opkomende pop/rock. Zelfopgelegde regel: maximaal twee per artiest.
