Maar ik moet nog veel albums beluisteren, zoals de nieuwe Sepultura. Aan de nieuwe Mastodon begin ik niet, heb er al wat zaken van gehoord en hij steekt gewoon tegen.

Zeg Bennerd, zit daar ook nog iets bij dat ik wellicht zou kunnen waarderen?

Ik zou ook niet aan die nieuwe van Sepultura beginnen. Wat een treurnis.

Enkel Martyr Defiled vrees ik. Misschien dat je Crime Scene ook zal waarderen, maar de zang klinkt eigenlijk enorm mat en het is nogal breakdown-gericht.

Martyr Defiled speelt deathcore (oh nee, daar ga ik weer), maar wel op een enorm frisse manier! Erg goede, volle productie en tevens erg melodieus op het goede moment.

En als je van simpele en Sepultura/Soulfly/Cavalera Conspiracy-achtige beukmetal houdt, moet je eens achter Ektomorf gaan, ik vind die band net iets beter dan alle Cavalera-bands (ook al zal het als blasfemie klinken).

@ Joy4ever: ik vind die nieuwe zanger sowieso niet slecht en zowel Dante XXI als Roorback waren erg goed, dus ik ga ook maar eens achter deze.

Martyr Defiled.. oke, ik onthoud 'm! Ik kan deathcore af en toe wel waarderen, maar daar moet het wel een zekere kwaliteit voor hebben. Een duidelijk eigen gezicht, breakdowns op de juiste momenten en correct gedoseerd en een passende rol voor melodie. Laatste All Shall Perish had veel melodie, maar wel op een doordachte manier in de muziek verwerkt.
Die Crime Scene zal inderdaad niks zijn dan.

Op beide albumpagina's een kort recensietje geplaatst bevallen me beide goed, Cattle Decapitation erg goed en Agoraphobic Nosebleed goed maar toch iets minder. Wel een redelijk gevarieerde lijst verder naar mijn idee

Kijk eens aan, ik kom even met een aanrader voor de fans van 'buiten-de-lijnen-muziek'.

Het gaat hier over Abigor, die vorige maand met Time is the Sulphur in the Vein of the Saint een niet alledaagse black metalplaat neerpoot. We krijgen twee tracks te horen van beiden net geen twintig minuten. De basis is black metal, maar dan met een hogere dosis techniek, afwisseling, sfeerzetterij, tempowisselingen, industriële geluidjes en dergelijke.
