Ik vind het niet echt een verzamelalbum, omdat deze nummers nog niet eerder op een album verschenen waren. In de jaren 50 zeker werden vaak singles niet op een album gegooid, om de verkoop van de single te bevorderen, waar ze er vreemd genoeg niet van uitgingen, dat het de verkoop van een album ook zeker zou bevorderen. Een verzamelalbum is voor mij een album waar eerdere op albums uitgegeven nummers op verzamelt zijn. Dat is dan mijn persoonlijke definitie. Dus.......

Zeker, tegenwoordig is een verzamelalbum ook een heel ander begrip dan toen. Toen werden deze albums helemaal niet als verzamelalbums gemarket, maar als 'het nieuwste album van', gewoon als regulier album. Die lijn is lastig te bewandelen want op MusicMeter categoriseren we dit soort albums met de huidige blik en verdwijnen ze onder 'verzamelalbums' op de artiestenpagina's. Soit, of het album nu wel of niet in een lijstje hier genoemd wordt, dat doet niets af aan de kwaliteit. Draaien zullen we 'm toch
