Ik vind het een briljant album, maar die titel is me toch echt iets te over the top om mooi te kunnen zijn.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness...
Op de manier zoals de cover eruit ziet lijkt het alsof dat vrouwtje gewoon Mellon Collie heet en in dat geval slaat de titel inderdaad op vrijwel niets. Maar Mellon Collie klinkt natuurlijk als: melancholy. Dus, als je dat ervan maakt wordt het vrij vertaald:
Melancholie en eindeloos verdriet
of:
Melancholie en de eindeloze droefigheid
Lijkt mij de meest logische verklaring voor de titel, of heeft iemand anders een betere verklaring?
