Toch jammer dat iedereen in de herkansing weer voor de geijkte artiesten kiest. In december willen we allemaal de spelopzet veranderen om meer variatie in de lijst, maar voorlopig is het resultaat na 12 herkansingsladders dat we afscheid hebben moeten nemen van bijzondere (en unieke) nominaties van o.a. Harmonium, Built to Spill, The Flirtations, Neu!, Fad Gadget en Jan Johansson, veelal ten faveure van het zoveelste nummer van artiesten als Simple Minds, Pet Shop Boys etc.

Nog te zwijgen van het feit dat praktisch geen één nominatie in een alternatief genre de lijst heeft gehaald. Hiphopklassiekers als Rappers' Delight, Hoedenplank, Yonkers en (zeer wrs) I Used to Love H.E.R. halen (weer) niet de lijst. Het zal waarschijnlijk de dwarsdoorsnede van de smaak van de gemiddelde deelnemer zijn, maar voor mij wordt de lijst elk jaar eenzijdiger en matiger zo...

Ik laat de op zich terechte jijbak die DenDimi over Arcade Fire maakte maar even liggen... ik vermoed dat het feit dat er maar 3 uit 10 nummers doorgaan ook niet echt meehelpt. De uitgesprokener nummers krijgen vaak een aantal hoge scores, een groot aantal nullen en eindigen per saldo ergens in het midden. Een andere cesuur in zowel Ronde 1 als Herkansingsronde 1 zou wellicht al een andere eindlijst opleveren. Merk op dat ik het woord love/hate niet gebruikt heb, historisch is gebleken dat sommige mensen daarvan gaan steigeren.

Ik wist toen ik het schreef dat ik die Arcade Fire terug zou krijgen. Ontken ook niet dat ik er mede debet aan ben - ik vind Put Your Money on Me een topnummer en het gaat me iets te ver om er dan maar niet op stemmen. Wel ben ik al jaren voorstander van een stemsysteem, waarbij de nummers 1 en 2 meer punten krijgen en de nummers 3-5 minder. Hierdoor krijg je minder bijvangst-nummers in de lijst en meer klassiekers uit de 'alternatieve' genres...

Leg eens uit voor mij als onwetende. Waarom staat bij Golden Slumbers niet The Beatles? Gezien het op Abbey Road staat.

Als je maar wel stemt want ik vermoed dat Chromatics de punten goed kan gebruiken.

gerre, dat heeft ermee te maken dat de Abbey Road medley niet als een geheel genomineerd mag worden van de organisatie (want aparte tracks op het album). Er is nu een of andere live versie genomineerd omdat die als een nummer op het bijbehorende album staat. Maar, ik hou bij het stemmen gewoon The Beatles in m'n hoofd dus de zeven punten zijn een makkie in die ladder.
