Ik ga nu de loting voor ronde 2 voorbereiden.

Wat is herkansingsladder 2 close geëindigd zeg! 9 punten verschil tussen 1/2 en 8.

De nummers (in beide ladders) waren allemaal zeer sterk, dus grote verschillen hoefde je niet te verwachten.
Ik vind de MuMeladder en de finaleladders in het bijzonder op een zeer hoog niveau staan.

The Cure aanhang is bijzonder groot (en fanatiek) want zij zijn met maar liefst 8 nummers vertegenwoordigd bij de laatste 128, ik heb het nog niet gecheckt maar volgens mij een absoluut record.

Maar ook The Smiths, The Doors en David Bowie blijven het goed doen met ieder 6 nummers, terwijl bands The Waterboys, Pink Floyd en Talk Talk ook geen of slechts 1 nummer verloren.

The Kinks hebben de vorige ronde de grootste klappen gekregen, alle 5 nummers zijn eruit gevlogen, maar ook Nick Drake (vorig jaar nog 2 nummers bij de laatste 32) heeft nog maar 1 nummer in de strijd en artiesten als R.E.M., Pixies, U2, Jimi Hendrix, Nick Cave en Bob Dylan hebben 50% of meer van hun nummers eruit zien vliegen in de vorige ronde..

Ten slotte het laatste lijstje, de volgende 8 nummers strijden nog om de titel van de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer in de eindlijst.

Mooi werk weer, Ninjo! Wat een heerlijke lijst is het toch weer aan het worden

Mooi lijstje, alleen is het opmerkelijk (en jammer) dat er geen nummers van the Beatles in voorkomen en slechts één van Rolling Stones (de meest ondergewaardeerde bands op MuMe ).
Opvallend weinig nummers van de jaren '00, die moeten hun tijdloosheid blijkbaar nog bewijzen.

Ik vind het eigenlijk een hele matige en voorspelbare lijst. Jammer, want dit is een - in potentie - geweldig topic, nu nog hopen dat er meer diverse users aan mee gaan doen. Aan El Ninjo ligt het dus niet.

Inderdaad heel voorspelbaar, ik ben echt pro om volgend jaar (als El Ninjo dit huzarenstukje nogmaals wil herhalen tenminste) maximum 3 of 4 nummers per groep toe te laten (met ladders om deze nummers te bepalen ofzo).

R&P heeft wel wat gelijk vind ik, maar dat heeft mede/vooral te maken met de 'kleur' van de users die hier meedoen (ik word 'ziek' van The Cure en dat met zo'n bandnaam ). Jammer dat er ook geen meer users meedoen, maar niet iedereen houdt of weet ervan (denk ik).

Wel top van El Ninjo om dit te organiseren, want het lijkt me een hels karwei.

De lijst is inderdaad een beetje monotoon maar ik kan het ook niet helpen dat The Cure zoveel ijzersterke songs heeft
Ach, laten we niet moeilijk doen. Het is een meer dan aangenaam 'spelletje'.

Verder alle respect voor El Ninjo,

The Sound bijna geheel en al geëlimineerd

Daar wordt het niet minder voorspelbaar van hoor. Het enige verschil is dan dat de subtoppers van de populaire artiesten dan niet meer tussen de 65 en 128 staan. Het maximum hebben we nu op 20 liggen en dat vind ik eigenlijk wel prima.

Verder weet ik vrij zeker dat meerdere vaste stemmers de voorspelbaarheid alleen maar bevorderen. Althans voorspelbaarheid in de zin van populaire/bekende nummers/bands eindigen bovenin.

Maar meer deelnemers zou natuurlijk altijd leuk zijn.

Ik beaam het eerste deel van deze quote volmondig.

Met het tweede deel kan ik niet akkoord gaan.
Ik vind dit een lijst die veel te weinig verschillende artiesten telt.
Een Cure fan (ik ben er zelf één) zal met een beetje "geluk" straks
in evenveel ladders als er Cure songs zijn weten waar zijn +5 (of +3)
naartoe zullen gaan. Bij wijze van spreken natuurlijk.

Hoe meer songs van één groep meedoen,
hoe kanslozer de andere artiesten volgens mij worden.
Ik ben niet wiskundig genoeg om dat even hard te maken.
Maar ik heb wel dat intuïtieve gevoel.

Op die manier wordt stemmen op een artiest ipv een lied verleidelijker.
Ik beoog niet meer dan een kritische opmerking hiermee.

Ik wil de spelregels niet herschrijven: het succes van het spel
bewijst dat het opzet ervan okee is. Nogmaals respect voor de ploeg.


Ik had een idee in dezelfde richting ...

Ik hoor the Cure wel graag maar 8 nummers vind ik ook teveel. Het is vooral de '80-generatie die actief is op deze MuMe-ladder (zie ook het aantal nummers van Talk Talk en The Smiths), terwijl de jaren '00 ondervertegenwoordigd zijn (enkel Arcade Fire, Sigur Rós en 1 nummer van Interpol maar die zijn dan ook uitstekend). De (meeste) parels uit de jaren '60 en '70 worden gelukkig nog gewaardeerd.
Meer deelnemers van verschillende generatie zou inderdaad leuk zijn.
In ieder geval, alle lof voor El Ninjo!

Excuses, er kwam even wat tussendoor maar bij deze dan toch de loting voor de volgende ronde.....het wordt er niet makkelijker op.

Met een maximum van 4 nummers per act zouden er 15 platen uit deze top 128 vallen.Tussen de 15 platen die er dan wel in zouden komen, zitten nog steeds 8 nummers van acts die al met een ander nummer in de top 128 staan.

Dus als je het maximum per artiest verlaagt van 20 naar 4 heb je 7 nieuwe artiesten bij de bovenste 128. Mijns inziens is dat een verwaarloosbaar resultaat. Bovendien mis je dan enorm veel goede nummers tussen 129 en 2000 en dat doet mijns inziens juist ontzettend afbreuk aan de MuMeLadder.

Ik begrijp op zich wel dat mensen het jammer vinden dat er veel artiesten vaak in de bovenste regionen eindigen maar ik denk dat zich dit uiteindelijk op een meer natuurlijke wijze laat oplossen omdat overkill van een bepaalde act volgend jaar zou kunnen leiden tot minder stemmen voor deze act.

Met betrekking tot de gemaakte opmerkingen over de lijst (m.n. over de vele dezelfde artiesten in de top vd lijst) even het volgende:

Als iedereen wilt nadenken over eventuele oplossingen ( en hoe dat in de praktijjk uit te werken etc) en dat even wil bewaren tot na de finale, dan kunnen we daarna rustig de discussie starten over eventuele verbeteringen cq aanpassingen.

Alle suggesties zijn dan van harte welkom (ik sta overal open voor), maar het lijkt me verwarrend en niet zinvol om dat nu midden in de afwikkeling van de laatste groep te doen.
