Nou ja gezongen... Een paar woordjes brabbelen... Maar goed de topicstarter beslist! Als het hem dus blijbaar goed uitkomt mag een gesproken intro wel... Ach, ik pas het wel aan

Wanneer wordt Vangelis met Conquest verwijderd, een heel koor nog wel... Hoor je bij Focus niet op de achtergrond wat gejodel (nee dat is niet enkel bij Hocus Pocus)?

Je hebt helemaal gelijk, ik heb de lijst nog niet helemaal doorgelezen, maar zag toevallig Oktober en Warszawa al staan.

Vangelis en Hocus Pocus mogen er ook uit.

Ik ga vanavond de lijst nog even doornemen, wat ik ken natuurlijk.

Hmmm...moet ik dan nog even beluisteren, maar dat is toch geen tekstueel gezongen iets?

In October is het toch wel meer dan gebrabbel?

Ja wellicht wel maar het is zo weinig

Dan is het gewoon niet instrumentaal. Tijdens een intro kan er wat mij betreft nog kort iets gesproken worden, dan heeft het verder weinig toegevoegde waarde meer als het nummer start. Hoewel ik zelf liever zou zien dat alles instrumentaal was (voicesamples moeten dan wel weer kunnen, dat wordt weer gedaan met een samplecomputer en dat is weer een instrument).

Zo vind ik mijn eigen nominatie van Godspeed You Black Emperor - East Hastings al vrij dubieus.

Hoe zie jij dat dan bij een nummer als Das Boot van U96? Daar zitten ook gesproken tekst (althans losse woorden) in maar dat zijn wel samples.

Instrumentaal betekent niet dat je de tekst niet kan verstaan, want dan kan nog een hoop meer genomineerd worden. Ik snap R&P's standpunt over vocal samples, maar ik heb gewoon gehanteerd helemaal geen vocals (sample of echt) als stelregel. Das Boot zou ik dus ook op zeker niet nomineren, buiten het feit dat er veel betere, compleet instrumenale technonummers zijn.

Zie dat is het...ik verstond die tekst in Conquest of Paradise al nooit
