National Music Express, Engels tijdschrift (meer een krantje eigenlijk) dat wekelijks uitkomt en dan elke keer een ander hip bandje tot nieuwe sensatie bombardeert. Vol reclame, advertenties en weet ik het wat, maar wel leuk om te lezen als je 16 bent en net de Britpop aan het ontdekken bent.

NME staat voor New Musical Express. Op hun site is ook veel muzieknieuws te vinden, maar ik vind de NME altijd zo irritant schreeuwerig.

Heel gaaf topic! Wel moeilijk om jezelf samen te vatten in nummers, zeker omdat ik niet altijd naar teksten luister bij Engelse nummers. Eerste nummer vat een beetje perfect samen hoe was in mijn jeugd en stiekem soms ook nog wel ben (al is die line 'kwajongens die regelen het even in een paar seconden' niet op mij van toepassing). Bij de rest speelt naast de tekst ook het gevoel dat ik bij het nummer krijg een rol, al is het ook mijn interpretatie van de teksten die het deze nummers maken.
