Idee is om je eigen lijstje te maken. Of een top3 per jaar als je het niet over je hart verkrijgt om bepaalde platen onvermeld te laten. Ik denk niet dat ik het red helemaal tot 2022 (of al vanaf 1984) dus kies vooral ook zelf je periode. Ik ben benieuwd

Ik vind het qua variatie net het menu van ieder willekeurig fastfoodrestaurant; behoorlijk eendimensionaal. En de laatste 3 jaar de albums van Nas noemen als beste hiphop? Daar snap ik helemaal niets van.

Benieuwd wat je hier dan van vindt Maarten. Ik begin in 1987 en pas vanaf 1991 kan ik top3's maken. Verder dan 2012 kom ik vervolgens niet, wat op zichzelf een aardig topjaar is. Jammer dat To Pimp a Butterfly daardoor ontbreekt.

Mooie lijst en nice dat je Fresku noemt. Toprapper!

Common - Electric Circus ken eigenlijk niet. Ga ik eens checken is het echt hiphop + funk (zoals op MUME staat) of gewoon funky hiphop?

Het is vooral een echt Soulquariansproduct, als dat je wat zegt. In hetzelfde rijtje als Phrenology, Mama’s Gun maar ook voorganger Like Water for Chocolate. Ik vind Electric Circus net wat lekkerder nog dan die, vooral dankzij het ijzersterke begin. Soul Power, Aquarius, Electric Wire Hustle Flower; allemaal ontzettend energieke knallers. Met Jimi Was a Rockstar gaat het op het einde wel echt alle kanten op, daar moet je wel een beetje tegen kunnen . Naast Soulquariansgenoten als Dilla, ?uestlove en James Poyser doen ook The Neptunes twee nummers trouwens.

En ja, het is zeker funky, maar ook beetje rock en soul ;p

Nou, dit vind ik dus al een stuk interessanter.

Nou zal ik wel weer een ouwe zuurpruim gevonden worden, maar is dit niet wat we het afgelopen jaar gedaan hebben met alle jaarlijstjes maar dan in een iets andere vorm??

Zeker, een gratis excuus om weer een nieuw lijstje te maken. Voel je vrij om er ook een te maken of niet .

Een topic van beste albums per jaar met als criteria dat het een album met minder dan 30 MUME stemmen moet zijn. Dat lijkt me wel tof. Wat shine geven aan ondergewaardeerde parels.

Dat is wel een vet idee!

Inmiddels een paar keer geluisterd. Erg fijn album!

Ik kom tot deze selectie. De periode 2005-2009 lijkt aanzienlijk minder interessant dan de overige periodes, wellicht moet ik daar nog eens dieper induiken.

Persoonlijk vind ik 2005-2009 een erg interssante periode. NL hiphop was toen vollop in ontwikkeling, waardoor er veel classics albums uit kwamen. Daarnaast kwam er veel goede underground hiphop uit, zowel uit de rustigere (Atmosphere e.d.), als uit de hardcore/horrorcore (JMT e.d.). hoek.
