Ik zie je lijstje bij de 60's. Geen jazz. Je weet niet wat je mist. Er is zoveel moois uitgebracht, zeker in de jaren '60.

Geen prog... geen Nederlandstalig... een behoorlijk onvolmaakt gebeuren.

En ook al niemand met een 60's hiphop klassieker in zijn lijst..

Ik ken zeker jazz uit de 60s, maar dat haalt net de top 30 niet bij mij. Hoewel: ik heb wel Nina Simone.
Ja Kronos, dat was een serieuze reactie.

Dat moet dan zijn omdat je de verkeerde jazz uit de jaren 60 kent of anders niet de juiste smaak hebt. Kortom, je weet niet wat je mist.

Ik heb ook een lijstje. Alleen is die niet zo groot als de meeste andere lijsten. 14 Platen kwamen ervoor in aanmerking om op mijn persoonlijke lijst te komen omdat ik meen dat een album daarvoor minimaal 4,0 ster van mij moest krijgen. Om een Top-15 te krijgen, heb ik een al eens eerder door mij beluisterde plaat van The Moody Blues ('Days of the future passed') nog eens beluisterd. Deze voldeed bij mij aan de 4,0-ster-norm, en momenteel is dit mijn Top-15;

Chevy's Top 40-spel is altijd een moment om actief nieuwe platen te zoeken en eerder gekend werk opnieuw te beluisteren. In tegenstelling tot vorig jaar heb ik het minder intuïtief aangepakt en meer nagedacht over welke platen ik écht goed vind. Vandaar dat mijn top 10 tijdelijk weg is. Het is in ieder geval interessant om, na 4 jaar en 4 deelnames, te zien hoe mijn of jouw muzieksmaak evolueert. Nu moet ik natuurlijk wel toegeven dat ik grotendeels binnen hetzelfde genre blijf.
En ja, ik neem lijstjes heel serieus.

De meest opmerkelijke stijger is dus The Millennium - Begin, die ik voor mijn nieuwe top 10 niet meer kan negeren. De eerste tien hier zijn geen onbekenden, maar verder was er voorrang voor nieuwe ontdekkingen en platen die 'verser' in het geheugen zitten. Zo laten The Doors het dit jaar echt wel afweten. Speciale vermelding voor de nummer 16, medemuziekliefhebbers!
