Wel geinig verzamelaartje van eind jaren 80. Geeft mooi overzicht van wat er toen populair was. Favorieten: Monie Love en Crowded House. 3*

Whatever happened to the radio ?
They never play the songs we know.
Golden Oldies, Rolling Stones, we don't want them back.
I'd rather jack, than Fleetwood Mac.
No Heavy Metal, Rock 'n' Roll, music from the past,
I'd rather Jack, than Fleetwood Mac.
Can't they see that every generation, has music for its own identity ?
So why's the DJ on the radio station, always more than twice the age of me ?
Who needs Pink Floyd or Dire Straits, it's not our music that's out of date ?

Good Life vond ik altijd wel een gaaf nummer. En Buffalo stance is zo'n nummer dat ik stiekem ook altijd wel leuk vond. Maar bij de meeste namen gaat mijn nhart nog steeds niet echt sneller kloppen.

Vreselijke nummers (Belfast child, The look) afgewisseld met leuke dansnummers van Abdul en Inner City.

Ik vond het altijd een leuke serie, die Now This Is Music albums. Wel jammer dat dit het enige album op de site is. Ik weet dat ik deel 1 tot en met 5 toen wel erg mooi vond.

Ook via internet zijn de oude Now This Is Music albums nergens te vinden.
Volgens mij zijn ze ook maar alleen op LP verschenen (de oudere delen). Deel 4 heb ik wel nog op LP.

Er zijn zeker ook cassetteversies van de oudere delen, ik heb een paarse cassetteversie, en ik denk dat dat ook deel 4 was...

Één van de 2 commerciele verzamelaars die ik ooit heb gekocht. Toendertijd weloverwogen gekocht. De laatste 15 jaar heeft ie in een doos gelegen ergens ver weggestopt. De laatste verhuizing 2 maanden geleden heeft ie niet overleefd en hopelijk heeft nu iemand anders er plezier van. Anders ligt ie nog steeds bij de kringloop.

Tiende en laatste deel van "Now This is Music" (ik kocht alle delen).
Mijn favoriete nummers hierop staan toevallig achter elkaar : tracks 13 t.e.m. 16 en "The look" van Roxette vind ik ook nog altijd prima.

) lyrics wil ik jullie niet onthouden (...)Da's nou weer jammer van de Reynolds Girls, ze zaten nergens op te wachten, maar zijn ook zelf van de aardbodem verdwenen, ze blijken wel een emailadres te hebben, [email protected], maarrre dat zal wel een emailadres hebben waar je nooit antwoord op krijgt. De rest van de artiesten zijn nog wel actief, dus I don't rather Jack.
Verder is dit een album die ik helaas niet in mijn collectie heb, maar de rest wel. Het blijft leuke muziek, ben niet zo van de jumpstyle en boem, boem muziek, die mij 4 minuten te lang duurt.

De ironie druipt er van af. Alles uit het verleden was helemaal niets, maar zelf hebben ze niet eens één album weten te maken. Een jaar later was iedereen de Reynold Girl's vergeten. Oude hits waren toen heel populair door o.a. Tour of Duty.
Leuke verzamelaar! In deze tijd leerde ik muziek ontdekken, waardoor veel nummers nostalgisch zijn voor mij.
