Toen ik een paar jaar geleden opzoek was naar wat Elvis platen kon ik maar geen keuze maken. Ik wou gewoon zijn beste albums hebben. Maar joh, zoveel onnodige verzamel lp's en de platen die ik graag wou hebben (oa comeback special en golden records) waren vage heruitgaves dus klonken meestal ook nergens naar. Zijn discografie is kort gezegd een ongesorteerd zooitje.

Via Discogs kwam ik deze boxset tegen, de lp variant is wat duurder. Maar alle nummers keurig op chronologische volgorde, geremasterd, demo's, live opnames en vele hebbedingetjes zoals een boek en foto's.

Ik denk dat dit wel het beste is wat je kan kopen als je wilt verdiepen in Elvis of Rock N Roll. Zo waanzinnig gave boxset dat ik soms het gevoel krijg of ik zelf in de studio zit.
