Welke band kan je beter live meemaken i.p.v. er een album van te beluisteren?

- Brunniepoo: dat zijn er nogal wat, maar zeker met funkbands heb ik dat, bijvoorbeeld Jungle by Night, maar ook zeker een Candy Dulfer is live veel toffer dan op plaat
- Mssr Renard: volgens mij gewoon allemaal, behalve meestal popmuziek, omdat dat vaak niet eens echt live is. Gave livebands van nu: Tedeschi Trucks Band en Gov't Mule. Beste liveband ooit: Allman Brothers Band. Maar ik luister ook absoluut gewoon graag naar hun albums.
- Dim: Ik kom op namen die ik op plaat al geweldig vind, maar live nog drie niveaus beter: Gallowstreet, The War On Drugs, Angus & Julia Stone, Muse.
- dix: Tori Amos. Ga je een keer mee, Onweerwolf?
- Casartelli: eerste ingeving was The Decemberists. Bij iets langer nadenken: System of a Down, daar is het verschil nog groter.
- Fathead: Snollebollekes uiteraard.
- wendyvortex: SNFU, Fugazi, The Ex
- Film Pegasus: Warpaint. Hun albums zijn in elk geval de moeite, maar hun live optredens zijn nog veel beter met een dynamiek en sfeer die helaas niet op albums vastgelegd wordt.
- Etta: uit de oude doos denk ik aan The Ramones
- Don Cappuccino: iedere post-rockband met de typerende hard/zacht-dynamiek en melodramatische gitaarmuren. Ik vond een band als Mono bijvoorbeeld vele malen beter en indrukwekkender live dan op een studioalbum.
- ArthurDZ: Springsteen, uiteraard.
- Shaky: The Domestic Bumblebees en The BossHoss; twee bands wiens albums okay zijn, maar die live een ongekende energie tentoonstellen en zelfs een introverte knul als mij uitbundig aan het feesten krijgen.
- Justus18: uit ervaring Ramones, maar ik denk dat Grateful Dead dit zou evenaren. Goede Jazz is in de regel live beter dan op plaat dus dat heb ik maar buiten beschouwing gelaten.

Deze kende ik dan toevallig weer niet van onze Elmore, dank voor de tip.
Onvoorstelbaar hoe vrijwel al zijn nummers zo ontzettend op elkaar lijken, maar toch nooit vervelen.
Mijn inziens de blues artiest met beste combinatie van stem en gitaargeluid ooit.
