An American Journalist did a story on gender roles in Kabul, Afghanistan, several years before the Afghan conflict.
She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands.
She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walk behind their husbands. Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women now seem happy to maintain the old custom.
She approached one of the Afghani women and asked, 'Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?'
The woman looked her straight in the eyes, and without hesitation
said, 'Land mines'

Lang moeten denken, tot ik besefte dat jullie Nederlanders dr. Oetker totaal verkeerd uitspreken en zo. En ik maar niet snappen en hardop zeggen. Nu ja, toch:

Koetjesrepen uitspreken als Dr. Oetker.... Dat lijkt me verwarrend. Of je moet het ook logisch vinden om 'krat bier' als 'maaltijdsalade' te willen uitspreken. Of 'rol plakband' als 'frisdrankautomaat'.

Die 'joke' wordt gemaakt door iemand die in het Zweeds van de koe is (ko-s) en waarschijnlijk een dikke rolling krijgt bij het zien van de köttbullar in de Zweedse levensmiddelenwinkel van Ikea; vooral als ie bij de kassa het advies krijgt daarbij (rode) lingonsylt te serveren.

Mits goed gewassen kan zo'n reep een interessantere smaak hebben dan de fabriekschocolasmaak die er thans aan zit.
Maar goed grappen uitleggen... Dat is net zoiets als dat ik nu zou verklappen dat op de afbeelding geen koe maar een paard op het wikkel staat.
