Als ik mijn vorige lijstje bekijk zie ik weinig verschillen. Eigenlijk luister ik of nieuwe muziek of muziek die nog verder terug in het verleden ligt. De 1138 bestemde albums (en scores) zijn er ook maar 16 meer dan 2 jaar geleden. De hele top 20 heeft in ieder geval stand gehouden. Wel een paar hogere nieuwe binnenkomers op 12, 13 en 15. Float en Amelie Poulain profiteren van mijn opgeleefde liefde voor 'neoklassiek', wat ik graag draai tijdens het werk. Yann Tiersen en Peter Broderick behoren de afgelopen jaren tot mijn meest gedraaide artiesten. En Vespertine is typisch zo'n album dat ik altijd ben blijven draaien en de tand des tijds fantastisch heeft doorstaan, terwijl ik grotere favorieten van toendertijd door de jaren heen (GYBE bv.) nauwelijks nog draai en deze dus langzaam wegzakken. Ik was eigenlijk verbaasd dat 'ie er de vorige keer nog niet in stond.

Eerste albums aangeschaft in 1999 en vervolgens in de jaren '00 van mijn 14e tot 24e mijn muzikale smaak het meest ontwikkeld. En binnen de NL hiphopscene voor mij het meest fantastische decennium om te hebben meegemaakt. Elke week zo'n beetje naar concerten, feestjes en festivals en diep in de scene. Veel vriendschappen ontstaan en veel leuke mensen ontmoet hierdoor. De albums uit die jaren brengen stuk voor stuk veel herinneringen met zich mee. Jeugdsentiment en nostalgie hebben de volgorde zeker beïnvloed, maar dat is prima.
