Even de lijst van Titmeister doorgenomen en mijn favorieten eruit gepikt. Titmeister is, volgens mij, op MuMe vooral bekend van de dans afdeling, maar wat een geweldige smaak heb je. Ook heel veel verschillende genres en ook mijn afdeling gitaarmuziek ed., is ruim vertegenwoordigd

Dank je! Dat ik vooral bekend ben van de dance komt, denk ik, doordat ik één van de weinige liefhebbers van het genre op het forum ben en daarbij één van de meest uitgesproken (samen met Teun en herman). Maar ik kan rock ook prima waarderen (zolang het maar geen lege testosteronrock is of teveel pathos heeft), net zoals veel andere genres idd,,,

1. King Crimson- Starless: De welhaast onbetwiste numero 1 van deze lijst. Het nummer kent een prachtige melancholisch begin die met een nagelbijtende opbouw naar een zeer opbeurende conclusie opbouwt. Intens, krachtig en emotioneel geladen. Geen enkel ander nummer kan mij zo makkelijk 12 minuten lang compleet wegvoeren. Ik ken het nummer al zekers 5 jaren, maar zie nog geen tekenen van roest



2. Bruce Springsteen- Highway patrolman. Bruce Springsteen is een artiest die ik uiteraard al wel van naam kende, maar waar ik het afgelopen jaar pas me in heb verdiept. Springsteen is een briljant verhalenverteller. Dit nummer is verschrikkelijk intiem; enkel Bruce , zijn gitaar en een mondharmonica. De teksten komen aan als een mokerslag.


3. Beatles- For no one: Bestaat er zo iets als een perfect popnummer. Wellicht wel en dit is een van de meest in het oog springende kandidaten. Slechts 2 minuten lang, maar elke seconde geniaal. Ook hier weer een heel indringende thematiek.


4. OMD- the new Stone age. Wanhoop is muzikaal gezien een prachtige emotie. Dit nummer heeft allereerst een geweldig ritme: hollen over de snelweg. Daarnaast geeft Andy Mccluskey met zijn zeer indringende stem het nummer net dat beetje extra.


5. Mike Oldfield- Ommadawn Pt1: Het is moeilijk te beschrijven waarom ik dit nou juist zo geniaal nummer vind. Oldfield verbind op grandioze wijze folk, rock, klassiek en wereldinvloeden tot een samenhangend geheel. Daarnaast heeft het nummer een geweldige climax. Toch is heeft het nummer iets magisch dat het een plek in deze top 10 doet veroveren.


6. Van der graaf generator- Pilgrims: Erg moeilijk om een nummer van deze band te kiezen, aangezien deze meestal opgebeurt worden door hun plaats op het album. Om toch uiteindelijk de knoop door te hakken; pilgrims is werkelijk waar een geniaal nummer. Een brok hoop met wellicht de beste zangpartij die Hammill in zijn carriere heeft afgeleverd


7. John Coltrane- Olé: Het is maar goed dat elke artiest een maal in mijn lijst voorkomt; anders zou de lijst vol staan met composities van deze topsaxofonist. Olé swingt als een beest en begeesterd zoals weinig nummers dat kunnen.


8. Nick Cave- The Mercy Seat: intensiteit lijkt een terugkerend thema te worden in dit toplijstje. Een Stomende, stompende, Post-punk waarover Nick cave zijn lyrics uitspuwt. De Concluise is ook prachtige met die prachtige vioolpartijen die steeds nadrukkelijker naar voren komen.


9. Ritual- A Dangerous Journey. Veel muzikanten in het progressieve rockgenre geven aan dat het makkelijker is een lang dan een kort nummer te schrijven. Dat mag dan wel zo zijn, maar ik ken maar weinig nummers boven de 25 minuten die geen enkele steek laat vallen en de volle duur spannend blijft. Deze epic is op zijn minst een van de beste in zijn soort. Het heerlijke nostalgische sfeertje doet de rest.


10. Godspeed you black emperor- Moya: Post-rock is voor mij nog grotendeels een onbekende wereld. Dit pareltje kun je echter als muziekliefhebber niet over het hoofd zien. Het opstandige sfeertje, de geniale opbouw en de wervelende conclusie zijn slechts enkele redenen waarom dit nummer een top 10 positie verdient. Al was het maar als hekkensluiter.

Tsja ik ben een man van uitersten in dat opzicht. Kan erg genieten van experimentele muziek, maar ik kan ook erg goed meebleren met een leuk popnummer.

Het is inderdaad een gevarieerde toplijst, ik wist helemaal niet dat je zo'n gevarieerde smaak had gekregen. Staan dingen in die ik echt niet van je had verwacht. En Bløf, tja... dat zie ik door de vingers.

Vind het ook wel een leuk lijstje. Grappig ook dat we dezelfde (niet direct vanzelfsprekende) favorieten hebben van The Beatles en Fischer-Z.

Prachtig, had zo van mij kunnen zijn, als ik alles kende uiteraard Moet om te beginnen meer J-pop gaan luisteren!

Mooie lijst, Misterfool. Ondanks dat er behoorlijk wat nummers in staan die ik of niet ken of waarvan ik duidelijk andere favorieten heb van die artiesten (o.a. Marillion, Beatles, Bob Dylan).

Don heeft ook een schitterende lijst. Haal alle metal eruit en ik denk dat ik gemiddeld zeker op een 7,5/8 uit kom.

Van sxesven ken ik zoals verwacht weinig. Hoewel ik toch meer bekende artiesten zie dan verwacht.

En heeft MuMe opeens massaal Nils Frahm opgepakt?

Wow, da's echt een mooi lijstje. Allemaal artiesten die ik hoog in het vaandel heb staan.

Ik heb me dit jaar weer bezig gehouden met mijn top 250. Zoals toegezegd vorig jaar. In deze top 250 staan mijn absolute topfavorieten. Zat eerst te twijfelen om er een top 500 van te maken omdat er niet genoeg in paste. En ik moet er dan ook heel veel mooie nummers uitlaten. Maar ach, over deze top 250 kan ik niet minder dan tevreden zijn, al worden sommige artiesten die ik hoog inschat helemaal genegeerd.
