Heel wat nummers van ErikM zijn ook favoriete nummers van mij.
Zijn nr.1 (Bob Dylan) wordt ook door Rolling Stone als beste song ooit beschouwd. Vanwege de titel?

Zal ongetwijfeld met de titel te maken hebben. Desondanks vind ik het niet onterecht. De rest van de lijst is wel aardig, maar iets te oubollig (relatief weinig muziek van de laatste 30 jaar) en eenkennig (weinig buiten rock/pop/soul, met name electronic en jazz ontbreken)...

Rolling Stone kiest duidelijk songs (en albums) die baanbrekend waren (vooral songs uit de jaren '60 en ook flink wat uit de jaren '50). Veel rock('n roll), behoorlijk veel soul en relatief weinig ballades. Allemaal prachtige songs zonder uitzondering maar inderdaad mochten er meer recente nummers bij staan. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" van Nirvana (1991) is het meest recente nummer uit die top-100, maar is natuurlijk een echte klassieker.
