Ik begin meer van de mening te worden dat er bij The Cure sprake is van een holy trilogy: DIsintegration, Pornography & Faith. Disintegration ken ik het best, maar Pornography groeit het meest. Seventeen Seconds vind ik gewoon goed, maar haalt niet het niveau van de top 3. Ook al heb je met "A Forest" een extreem kapotgespeelde supertrack. Alsof niemand anders ooit iets geniaals gedaan heeft. En alsof "One Hundred Years" dat dan weer niet is.

The Head on the Door is te poppy voor mijn smaak en ook wat minder tijdloos/uniek. Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me is te wisselvallig en heeft voor mij te weinig memorabele tracks. Zelfs Just Like Heaven valt niet op die plaat, en het is ook zo een lang album. Voor mij kent het album te weinig focus.

Deze vind ik allemaal heel erg goed, de albums die ik niet genoemd heb vind ik net wat minder. Laatste tijd redelijk verslingerd weer aan Bloodflowers, toch wel een ernstig onderschat album.

Top 4 blijft gelijk in vergelijking met drie jaar geleden. Wish komt in de plaats van Faith.

Benieuwd waar het nieuwe album gaat komen.

Heel moeilijk
Nieuwe album ga ik nog niet rangschikken op basis van de twee nummers maar ik weet zeker dat het hoe dan ook beter gaat zijn dan WMS, The Cure en 4:13 dream
p.s. vanaf nummer 9 is alles minimaal 4,5* voor mij dus het is soms erg moeilijk kiezen

Wild Mood Swings is meer dan een behoorlijk album. Daar gaat die nieuwe niet overheen denk ik...

Vind je? Ik vind wild mood swings mwahtjes.

Ik vind het een leuk album. Past bij mijn gemoedswisselingen

Dit vond ik in 2010. En dat vind ik, denk ik, nog steeds. Wellicht ‘Faith’ vervangen door ‘Wish’. Die plaat heb ik al heel lang niet meer gehoord. Best weer zin in.

Overigens zit er in mijn top 5 heeeeel veel lege ruimte tussen de nr. 1 en de nr. 2. 17scs is het absolute meesterwerk van Smith.
