De grote 3 voor mij, gelijkwaardige albums voor mij, waar ik eigenlijk niet uit kan kiezen welke ik nu echt het beste vind van die 3.

Voor mij ook beslist de beste 3! Alledrie een vijf en een meer dan vette vijf ook! Cijfers doen platen als deze sowieso geen recht. Maar vind Disintegration en Porn nog net wat trapjes genialer dan Faith.. Faith is echter magistraal in zijn serene schijnbare rust..

Liefhebber van het vroegere werk.....

Klopt vind ik eigenlijk ook wel hoor. Pornography was een hoogtepunt van hun eerste tijdperk, en Disintegration een hoogtepunt van hun tweede tijdperk. Alleen Faith vind ik gevoelsmatig net zo'n topper, en een beetje de voorbode van Pornography.

Omdat ik Rufus en Broem in mijn hart draag

Wanneer ze samen staan zijn de albums wat mij betreft ongeveer van hetzelfde niveau.

Tsja, een update? Waarom niet, ik denk dat het vooral gaat om welk niveau de platen halen en dan kom ik tot:

1 - Pornography
2 - Disintegration

En eigenlijk moet ik hier zo'n krom pijltje tussenzetten, namelijk gelijkwaardig qua niveau maar niet gelijk qua geluid of sfeer. Twee volstrekt verschillende platen, maar horen overduidelijk tot de onsterfelijke categorie. Tot mijn dood zal ik deze platen meenemen als levensbepalend.

Bijna even goed, maar iets grijzer

4- Seventeen Seconds

5 - Head On The Door
6 - Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
7 - The Top

Het olijke drietal, maar met zoveel briljante popliedjes als zwarte en zware toppers. RS wilde kennelijk even af van één sound. Maar er staan onbeschrijvelijk veel zalige nummers op deze platen, misschien wel The Cure op zijn top (get it?), maar de fijnproever wil vaak iets anders.

Op deze drie staan ook nog genoeg klassiekers, maar deze zijn wat mij betreft toch te onevenwichtig en niet hoog genoeg qua kwaliteit.
